A Dog Winter Haiku
A wet nose cuddle-
Warding from a chill winter:
Teeth naw at an itch
Greedy Squirrels
Greedy, nubby hands
Rub together:beggar hands,
Thieving hands, scavenger hands.
Flag whipping tails flap
Against the ground, glass eyes
Stare. Stare while plastic foil crinkles.
A pair of squirrels reflect
The qualities of naivety
Among many humans
Sky Rapids
fluffy buses cruising
down the sky rapids
collide with a gyre
as thunderclouds gather
all their friends to throw
a twister-lightning bash
